2019 NCBP Fellows Awards Nomination

Attention Bar Leaders and Bar Executives:

The National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP) is presently accepting nominations for the 2019 NCBP Fellows Award. NCBP will present the Award on Friday, January 25,2019 at the NCBP Joint Awards Luncheon, held during the 2019 NCBP Midyear Meeting in Las Vegas, NV. To participate, please review the information below.

Award Purpose

NCBP established the NCBP Fellows Award at its 2005 annual meeting to honor an outstanding past president of a bar association.

Criteria

To qualify for a nomination, an individual must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a past president of a bar association
  • Must have demonstrated a continuing commitment to leadership, service, the work of the organized bar and the purpose of the NCBP
  • Must have demonstrated a lifetime of achievement or exceptional service to lawyers or the public
  • An individual need not be a dues paying member of the NCBP for consideration
  • Current members of the NCBP Executive Council are not eligible
Nomination Process

The information listed below is required to nominate an individual.

  • Please provide your name and email address, as well as the name and email address of the person you are nominating below
  • Please submit at least one nomination letter indicating how the nominated individual meets the above noted criteria (up to three letters may be submitted using the form below)
  • Please submit the nominee's resume or biography describing his or her background and contributions
Continued Consideration

All nominees who are not chosen to receive the Fellows Award will be considered for up to three years from their initial application, and do not need to re-apply. Nominees can be considered for more than three years, but must be re-nominated after three years. If you nominated an individual for the 2017 or 2018 award, that individual will be considered again this year.

Please have all documents ready to upload to avoid having to submit nominees more than once.  All submissions must be received by Friday, November 16, 2019.

  1. A nomination letter indicating how the nominated individual meets the above noted criteria. Within the letter, please include the nominator’s contact information.  
  2. The nominee's resume and/or biography describing his or her background and contributions.

Awards will be presented on Friday, January 25, 2019, at the NCBP Joint Awards Luncheon, held during the 2019 NCBP Midyear Meeting in Las Vegas, NV.
