2019-2020 ABA Presidential Committee Appointments...ABA President-Elect Judy Perry Martinez will be making approximately 700 appointments to ABA Standing Committees, Special Committees, Commissions, and other entities and initiatives. The online process to apply for such appointments is now open. Those interested in serving are encouraged to apply on or before February 15, 2019. It's time to promote our health...The ABA ismobilizing on multiple fronts to address well-being in the legal profession. Since a 2016 survey on substance-use disorders among lawyers revealed troubling outcomes, many entities, including the ABA Working Group to Advance Well-Being in the Legal Profession, the ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs, the National Task Force on Lawyer Well-Being and others were jolted into action.
